Cockroach Control

Effective Roach Extermination

Cockroaches are a common pest in Irving, and many other cities in Texas. We have helped residents get rid of cockroach infestations for many years now. There are two common roach types that are found in Texas, the American and the German cockroach.

The American Roach

The American cockroach, and other similar cockroaches such as the smokey brown or oriental, can reach up to two inches in size. American cockroaches typically live outdoors in wood piles or hollow trees. If you live anywhere near trees, then there is a high probability that you have a hollow tree that is perfect for this particular pest to nest in.

Often times before you start seeing American cockroaches inside the home, you will see them outside your home. In search of food, they will enter your home through cracks found near loose-fitting windows, or holes where electric wires or pipes pass through. This particular roach species also wont hide immediately when you turn on the lights.

If you suspect you have American cockroaches in your home we can help you get rid of them and make sure they never invade again.

The German Roach

The German cockroach is the picture that often comes into people’s heads when they think about this pest.

German cockroaches are typically about a half-inch in length and have wings when they’re adults. If you notice one in your home, you should call us immediately. Once German cockroaches are in your home, they lay egg capsules, which hatch about three days later. Each capsule contains 30 to 40 eggs. This means that within a few days of them entering your home, you might have 100’s, if not 1000’s of them, depending on how many females there are. German cockroaches are active at night, and are afraid of the light. They are often found in basements and bathrooms because they like places that are dark and moist.

They can also be found in kitchens when they go looking for food. Having cockroaches in your kitchen is very bad and can often lead to disease. Call us today if you have any signs of a cockroach infestation.
